Why do we need more money . . ?

The Maesbury Broadplace has been given £20,000 of equipment - so it might seem a little odd that we are asking for donations, or 10% from your amazon.co.uk purchases . . .

The snag is that the equipment is just that, excellent hardware and software, but no petty cash. We need to print leaflets to tell off-line people about the Broadplace, questionnaires to find out what they would like from it, membership cards, a signing-in book - lots of little things that need some spare cash.

Initially our insurance, maintenance etc. will be supported by Switch on Shropshire - but before too long we'll have to find ways of paying that ourselves.

Eventually our equipment will become outdated and need replacing, but that will need a lot more than petty-cash, so we'll be looking to some major funding providers nearer the time.

In the meantime please do what you can to help up maintain this amazing resource for the local community!
