How to get here

  1. By boat - currently only from the Llangollen canal end, but in a few years the Montgomery Canal will be open down to Welshpool and Newtown.
  2. By bycycle - we should eventually be on an official route between Oswestry and Shrewsbury, probably an extension of Regional Route 31, connecting to National Route 81.
  3. On foot - Wat's Dyke Way and the Canal Towpath will be major long distance footpaths, meeting in Maesbury.
  4. By bus - there is a regular service between Oswestry and Shrewsbury, the driver will stop anywhere along the main road in Maesbury. See Arriva route 576 for more details.
  5. By car - if you really must. There are no public car parks in Maesbury, and none planned, so please only use this option if you are visiting one of the above businesses in the village as they all have their own parking available.

The Maesbury Heritage Leaflet
